114) Sycophancy to politicians and kings
JESUS: "The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee. And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ Luke 13: 31-32
Jesus did not crawl to kings and politicians, and neither should we. When Romans 13 clashes with the Sermon on the Mount, the Sermon on the Mount wins every time. Not so in Orthodoxy, whose entire history is one of creeping and crawling to sinful rulers, kings, queens and politicians. Take their crawling to Putin in Russia for example. No one has bothered to tell Putin he is not a Christian, just like Orthodox style sacerdotalists never bothered to tell Emperor Constantine, creating the devastating "Constantinian Shift" and the scarlet and purple heresy of Revelation 17:4.
Sycophancy to political figures, kings and queens.
This sin has pervaded their faith to saturation level, from the days of the mass murderer Emperor Constantine, to the fawning of modern day Russians toward President Vladimir Putin. It is deadly heresy, as it is not the fulfilment of Romans 13 in that it does not so much recognize figures like Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar etc can be used by God just as the Assyrian were in Isaiah 10, but rather exalts these political figures to the level of David, Samson, Gideon or Joshua, which they never are.
